The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Oyo State Chapter, has eulogized the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Honourable Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole (popularly known as Wolekanle), as he marks his first 100 days in office.
In a congratulatory message signed by the State President of NULGE, Comrade Adeogun Ayobami Olusegun, the Union described Akinwole’s first 100 days as “a season of rebirth, renewal, and repositioning” for the Commission.
According to the statement, Hon. Akinwale has demonstrated that “true leadership is not about occupying a seat of authority but about making a tangible difference in the lives of people.”
The Union lauded the Chairman’s initiatives aimed at strengthening professionalism, prioritizing workers’ welfare, promoting transparency, and restoring dignity to service, noting that these efforts have rekindled workers’ confidence in the local government system.
“We salute your inclusiveness, your ability to listen and your willingness to act. We see in you a reformer whose vision is clear, whose mission is people-driven and whose passion for grassroots governance is genuine,” the statement read in part.
While pledging continued partnership with the Commission, NULGE reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the interests of its members, as well as ensuring that the reforms introduced are sustained for future generations.
The Union prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and good health for Akinwole, urging him to sustain the pace of transformation already set in motion.
“Your first 100 days are written in golden ink. May the days ahead be even more remarkable,” the statement concluded.
