In preparation for the upcoming Oyo State Delegates Conference of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), the Authentic Integrity Group (AIG) has formally announced its lineup of candidates for various state executive positions.
The conference is scheduled to hold on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.
In a press statement released by the AIG Media Team, the group, led by Comrade Ayobami Olusegun Adeogun, reaffirmed its commitment to credible, people-centered leadership. The group noted that its decision to contest the upcoming NULGE elections is born out of a duty to consolidate the gains made under its leadership at both branch and state levels.
“Our tested and trusted comrades are stepping forward to ensure continuity, accountability, innovation, and inclusive growth in union affairs,” the statement read.
AIG cited its record in advancing the welfare of NULGE members across the Local Government Service, Primary Health Care Board, and State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). The group stressed its emphasis on equity, integrity, and transparent representation.
As campaigns intensify ahead of the August 7 conference, AIG has called on all members, stakeholders, and allies within the union structure to support its candidates at the polls.
“We urge comrades to lend their voices and votes to this noble cause. Together, we will uphold the values of a Union that truly works for all,” the group stated.
The slogan “Ayo Ní Ooo”—meaning “Joy Has Come”—echoes the group’s optimism and belief in victory.
