In the buildup to the 8th Quadrennial Delegates Conference of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Oyo State Chapter, the Authentic Integrity Group (AIG) Campaign Team has embarked on a statewide “Thank You” tour to appreciate delegates and stakeholders for their unwavering support.
The appreciation tour, which spanned all administrative zones of the state—including Ibarapa, Oyo, Ogbomoso, Oke-Ogun, Ibadan—as well as the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Local Government Staff Pensions Board, and the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, was led by the NULGE State President and leader of the AIG, Comrade Ayobami Olusegun Adeogun, fcpa.
According to a statement signed by Prince Segun Adeyemo,Director-General, AIG Campaign Team, during the tour, the AIG team expressed heartfelt gratitude to delegates, political leaders, local government executives, and workers across all tiers of local governance for their consistent support since the current leadership assumed office in 2021. They emphasized their commitment to consolidating the achievements recorded over the past four years and unveiled a policy document titled “Our Testimonies – Conceptual Framework for Second Term: Continuation of Our Team’s Transformative Leadership and Workforce-Centred Governance.”
In his remarks, Comrade Adeogun described the support received by his team as “massive and unprecedented,” particularly praising the executives of all local branches—the key voting delegates at the upcoming conference scheduled for Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.
“My joy knows no bounds seeing the confidence and trust reposed in us. If given another opportunity to serve, we promise not to let you down,” he assured.
Various stakeholders, including Executive Chairmen, Heads of Local Government Administration, Acting Heads of LCDAs, and Branch Executives, lauded the leadership of Comrade Adeogun. They highlighted the administration’s achievements in workforce development, staff welfare, and institutional reforms. They pledged continued support for the AIG team and expressed optimism that the group would emerge victorious at the forthcoming delegates conference.
