NUJ Zone B felicitates with Christians at Easter

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zone B has felicitated with Christians on this year’s Easter celebration, with a call on all Christians across the world to use the occassion to seek for God’s mercy.

The union, specifically called on all Christians to pray to God at this Easter season for an end to Corona Virus disease ravaging the whole world.

Vice President of the zone, which comprises of all the six states of the South West geo political zone, comrade Cosmas Olalekan Oni in a goodwill message issued by the zonal secretary, Bamigbola Gbolagunte called on all christian leaders across the country to obey all the directives of the government regarding COVID 19 as they celebrate Easter.

Oni said Christians should also imbibe the characters of Jesus Christ, whose resurrection, they celebrate at Easter by being obedient to authorities.

He said Easter signifies the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ , hence the need for all and sundry to respect the teachings of Jesus Christ which include respect for constituted authorities.

“We must at this trying time pray to God to heal our land and Easter brings us such opportunity to pray to God. Let’s all seek the face of God and ask for the mercy of the Lord at this perilous time in our history”

“Everyone must come together and seek God to save us even as we keep safe and maintain proper hygiene as laid down by health officials to ensure that we send COVID 19 out of the world”

While calling on all journalists to keep safe in all their professional activities, the union leader prayed that God will resurrect all that is dead in the lives of all Journalists and the nations of the earth at large.
