NUJ Loses Two Members Within 24 Hours

The media circle in Oyo state is in mourning mood as two prominent journalists die within 24 hours.

Tunde Ogunesan, a senior journalists with Nigerian Tribune and secretary Saki East local government died on Monday in sepeteri during a brief illness.

Also Victoria Alamu , a staff of Amuludun fm died in the early hours of Tuesday.

Their demise was announced on NUJ platform by the council chairman Mr Ademola Babalola .

While the group members are lamenting the death  of their amiable colleague, the chairmen broke the news of Ojo. He  wrote; Another Disaster Recorded at Amuludun, Radio Nigeria

“We mourn the death of another Colleague and staff of the FRCN (Amuludun FM), Ibadan, Victoria ojo”

“She reportedly passed on, overnight, hours after the terrible story of Tunde Ogunesan hit the media waves.”

“Colleagues, all POSTS except mourning of our Compatriots are hereby prohibited on this platform till the next 24hours”

“Let’s use this moment to reflect about our individual lives and remember the families of the deceased-colleagues in our prayers”

It is well with us all. Amen

Both were Mass communication classmates at the Polytechnic Ibadan
