Serbia’s Novak Djokovic has defeated Nick Kyrgios to win his 7th Wimbledon.
He defeated Nick by 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) on Sunday to go one short of equalling Roger Federer’s record in the Open Era.
This victory was his fourth consecutive triumph at the All England Club, missing out in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Novak Djokovic, who is currently ranked world No. 3 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has won 21 Grand Slam men’s singles titles, including a record nine Australian Open titles.
Overall, he has won 88 ATP singles titles, out of which 64 are a record Big Titles, including a record 38 Masters events. Djokovic is the first and only man in tennis history to be the reigning champion of the four majors at once on three different surfaces.
