Chief Niyi Akintola, a frontline legal luminary has desribed the late former governor of Oyo state Otunba Alao Akala as a man of the people who aligns with people at all levels starting from the grassroots to the top.

The gubernatorial hopeful while expressing his sadness over the demise of the All Progressives Congress APC Chieftain who died on Wednesday in Ogbomoso said
In Alao Akala, we have lost a gem.

” His exit at a crucial time like this is such that cannot be explained. I don’t want to dwell on the stories doing the rounds about the domestic accident because it does not help in the recovery of the precious personality we’ve lost to the cold hands of death.

“We send our condolences to the immediate family at this hour of a painful loss.
