The Balogun Bamofin of Oke Ogun and Bobagunwa of Iseyin Chief Adeniyi Akintola, SAN has described the late Aseyin of Iseyin Oba Abdulganiyy Adekunle as an accomplished professional who knew his onion when it came to Veterinary medicine.
The legal luminary In a tribute said the late monarch affectionately called him a fellow alumnus of the great UI, a man who according to him brought tremendous development to his domain during his reign.
“His reign saw the first express road in Oke Ogun Area of the state, the first University Campus, a state of the art NYSC camp, a High Court complex, a modern Library all located in Iseyin.
“His reign also saw the progressive achievements of his subjects amongst which were the elevations of the first set of Oke Ogun indigenes to the enviable rank of SAN in person of Chiefs Ahmed Raji SAN, and Biodun Owonikoko SAN all of whom are indigenes of Iseyin and also the icing on the cake which was the recent elevation of an illustrious son of Iseyin to the enviable position of CJN which was the first of it’s kind in the entire SW NIGERIA outside Lagos and Ogun states.
The illustrious son of Oyo state so honoured and elevated is our iconic jurist and a man of impeccable character Hon. justice Olukayode Ariwoola Ag. CJN, CON an indigene of Iseyin ruled over by the departed Monarch.
Oba Ologunebi Ajinese1 also enjoyed the cooperation of Iseyin citizens home and abroad as exemplified by the ceaseless stream of Iseyin citizens based in Nigeria’s big cities in and out of the palace on a daily basis and during festival periods. Amongst these people were notable industrialists, media and theatre practitioners, politicians, academics, professionals in all areas of endeavour, business people, traders etc.
The exit of Aseyin will no doubt be felt by the peace loving people of his domain. The legal luminary prayed that God grant his immediate family and the people the fortitude to bear the loss.
