The political water of Oyo State is set to stir up again, with the entrance of a dark horse in the atmosphere. And, in any case, who’s out there that’s afraid of the social crusader?
Flamboyantly striding the sliming pathway to the Agodi House, Niyi Aborisade is spot on, for the Oyo State 2027, Gubernatorial election.
No doubt, he’s strapped in an aristocratic garland of a born leader. Proudly showcasing uncommon place credentials, that are naturally imbued, rather than by laborious antecedents, Niyi Ajani’s father was once the Chairman of Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State.
UK based Aborisade, a social crusader and Nigerian human rights lawyer, is home again to give politics a shot for whatever it’s worth. But, this time around, as a governorship aspirant in the People’s Democratic Party.
Aborisade is of the opinion that this is the time for a clear departure from the hitherto rumbustious emptiness in the nation’s body politics, while those who can impact definitive midas touch, in combination with governing acumen, should be allowed to step in.
When confronted with the repetitive questions about his audacious ambition to the Agodi Government House, while never holding a political office in the past, Aborisade would readily throwback with such an uncanny gusto, asking the poser; *’on what parameters of assessment, was the incumbent placed six years ago, vis a vis the Governor’s political experience, and social advocacy”.* That is jaw dropping, won’t you as much think so?
White bearded, and with bohemian sideburns, this natural attribute bellows Aborisade’s intellectual depths, making him tow along the egalitarian philosophy of his forerunners in the garb of the Wole Soyinkas, the Yemi Farounbis, et al. No wonder he can solidly secure the backing of the latter for this lofty ambition!
Born into a family of the old warriors, the _Balogun Oderinlo of Ibadan Land_ , suave and urbane Barrister Ajani is pregnant with ideas for growth and poverty eradication. He’s burning with zeal and passion to berth an ideal society for the people of Oyo State in 2027. This, no doubt is a call to service, which he further describes as a social obligation on his own path.
“I’m eager to turn around the fortune of my people”, he says enthusiastically! And he has every good will in this direction. All he’s asking of the Oyo State people is; *’please give me a chance!”*
Niyi is coming, Ajani is coming! Aborisade says I’m the next Governor of Oyo State!
