Governors from across Nigeria convened in Abuja for a meeting of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), where they deliberated on key national issues including security, housing, and electricity supply.
The meeting featured strategic presentations from top stakeholders, including the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, who briefed the governors on the state of national security.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, also addressed the forum, highlighting ongoing efforts and policies aimed at addressing the country’s housing challenges.
Additionally, representatives from a private sector energy company presented innovative strategies for improving power supply across states.
In a joint resolution, the governors reaffirmed their commitment to working collaboratively to strengthen security and improve living conditions for Nigerians. They emphasized the need for synergy between the federal and state governments, as well as private sector stakeholders, in driving sustainable development.
