Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State, has directed that salaries and allowances of all Political Appointees in the State be slashed by 30 percent (%)
The reduction of the salaries of the Political Office Holders which is with immediate effect is temporary in consideration of the economic situation imposed on the State by the Coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement signed by Mary Noel Berje ,his Chief Press secretary, Gov. Bello further stated that the slash in salaries and allowances also affect him and his deputy pointing out that the State Government would transparently resume full payment of salaries and allowances when the economic situation improves. And regrets any inconvenience the reduction might have caused.
