The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Oyo State office, has held a one-day stakeholder engagement and strategic update session in Ibadan to strengthen collaboration and improve service delivery under the National Health Insurance Scheme.

The event, held at the Federal Secretariat Conference Hall, brought together healthcare providers, enrollees, government officials, and NHIA staff. Discussions centered on programmatic and operational progress, recent adjustments to premium rates, updated benefits packages, and a review of complaints from enrollees.
Speaking at the session, NHIA officials said the initiative was aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.
The interactive forum also allowed stakeholders to ask questions, raise concerns, and make recommendations on how to further enhance the scheme’s implementation in Oyo State.
Some participants commended the Authority for the engagement. “We commend the NHIA for this initiative. It gives us clarity and builds trust in the system,” a stakeholder said.
The NHIA reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with all partners to achieve the goal of universal health coverage in Nigeria.
