The massive infrastructural development embarked upon by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola led administration in the state of Osun have been commended by the Nigerian Guide of Editors NGE.
The Association’s acting president Funke Egbemode who led members of the standing committee to tour some of the projects with Ogbeni Aregbesola in osogbo said they are proud of the laudable and significant development
Egbemode noted that ” Osun state especially the state capital and major town has changed from what it use to be to an urban centre with good road networking and other facilities”
” we have seen the schools, the major construction going on in the state and bridges all which are not expected during this period of recession”
Wherever the money comes from is not the issue what is interesting is that his excellency has deploy the resources to do what is good and will forever be useful for the people of state
The Association also commended Ogbeni Aregbesola for the sustainable peace in the state of Osun ” the peaceful atmosphere in the state makes it easy record meaningful achievement contributions to the growth of the state .
” if people do not know what is going on in a place they are likely to misjudge and belief what the opposition says but our coming here today has revealed the landmark achievements in the state which will be communicated to the public through our various medium.
The governor in his response thanked the Nigeria media for the role played during the struggle to claim his mandate some years ago
” Nigeria Journalists gave us absolute support and we are very grateful”
The governor also commended the Nigeria Guide of Editors for thier roles in shaping Nigeria
He however task journalists to be conscious of the implications of their writings on the development of the country.
