The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commissioner (NCPC) is now set to flag off its 2017 Christian Pilgrimage to Israel, Greece and Rome in Gombe.
The Executive Secretary of NCPC, Rev. Tor Uja disclosed this in Abuja while fielding questions with news men. According to NCPC boss, “the flag off will take place on Wednesday, 6th December, 2017 at Gombe International Airport.
He explained that the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Hon. Samuel Lalong would be the Special Guest of Honour, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Gida Mustafa would be the Distinguished Guest of Honour while the Executive Governor of Gombe State, His Excellency Alh. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo would be the Chief Host.
Rev. Uja further explained that the flag-off was earlier slated for 19th November, 2017 in Gombe but was shifted due to operational reasons. Nevertheless, he stated that the inaugural flight for this year’s pilgrimage took off to Israel on 23rd November, 2017 from Lagos.
He equally reaffirmed that the flag-off ceremony would commence at 09:00am on 6th December and that about 280 intending pilgrims from Gombe State would be airlifted to Israel under the first batch.
The Executive Secretary applauded Governor Dankwambo of Gombe State for his uncommon commitment to the advancement of Christian Pilgrimage in Gombe State and Nigeria.
