As Nigeria joins other parts of the world to celebrate Maolud Nabiyy today, Distinguished Senator Buhari Abdulfatai, Lawmaker representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe and Mr Joseph Tegbe have rejoiced with Muslims as he charged them to emulate the Holy Prophet Muhammed in their day to day activities.
The trip in a press release made available to Journalists this morning said Maolud Nabiyy is a day set aside to mark the birth of the best creature among the mankind and so all Muslims are expected to be lovers of peace with people of other Faiths the same way the Holy Please Muhammed was during his life’s time.
Buhari admonished Muslims to use the occasion of Maould Nabiyy to pray fervently for peaceful coexistence and unity of purpose among Nigerians.
He added that the occasion shall also be used to pray for Nigeria leaders so that they are going to be guided on policies and projects that will make the country worthy of living for every class of people.
Senator Buhari added that youths in Nigeria should have confidence in the present crops of leaders in Nigeria and so avoid involvement in any social vices that could result to loss of lives and destruction of public and private properties.
The legislator who disclosed that President Muhammodu Buhari led Federal government is a listening one stressed that the interest of the masses shall continue to lead their priorities.
Senator Buhari wished every Muslims in Oyo North Senatorial District, Oyo State and Nigeria in general many happy returns of the day in sound health and abundant wealth.
Akande-Sadipe in a statement to mark this year’s Maulud Nabiyy, which marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), noted that during these trying times, Muslims need to pray for the progress and unity of Nigeria.
She also urged that we emulate the peaceful and humble attributes of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), noting that this will guarantee a better country for all.
“As we Celebrate in commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), I wish our Muslim brothers and sisters across the world, especially those in my immediate constituency, Oluyole, a blessed celebration”.
“Let’s preach peace, let’s emulate the humility of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and pray for the survival of our country”.
“I urge you to avoid evil thoughts and sinful behaviours that may hinder our prayers and supplications unto Allah.”
Sadipe in her statement also noted that Nigeria needs prayers in order to surmount her numerous challenges, adding that “we need to concentrate on our faith through prayers, seeking forgiveness and by being there for those that may be needy around us.”
Also Joseph Tegbe in a statement said “I congratulate all Muslim faithful on the occasion of the birthday of the Noble Prophet Mohammed, SAW.
“The great prophet is historically revered as a man of many virtues. Imbibing these virtues, and the message of his teachings would have a far greater impact on attitudinal change and peaceful co-existence.
“For us as Nigerians, it is important to seek the face of God as we face these challenging times in our dear nation. We need to pray for our Leaders to be equipped with wisdom and courage necessary to navigate these trying times
“Let us use this occasion to renew our resolve in promoting unity, tolerance, love, harmony and peaceful coexistence in the country.
