Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Saturday inspected the ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation of the 30-kilometre Okaka Junction–Otu–Igbojaiye–KAP Film Village Road in Itesiwaju Local Government Area, expressing satisfaction with the pace and quality of work.

The governor, who led a team of top government officials on the inspection tour, said the project was progressing steadily and aligns with his administration’s commitment to opening up rural communities through the provision of quality road infrastructure.
Makinde noted that upon completion, the road would ease transportation challenges, improve access to remote communities, boost agricultural activities, and stimulate economic growth across the axis.

During the visit, the governor also toured Kunle Afolayan’s KAP Film Village and Resorts, which he described as a strategic private-sector investment that complements the state’s efforts to grow tourism and the creative economy.
Reaffirming his administration’s resolve, Makinde said the government would continue to invest in infrastructure that supports development, attracts private investment, and promotes tourism and cultural heritage across Oyo State.
While hosting the governor at the KAP Film Village, renowned Nigerian actor, filmmaker, and director, Kunle Afolayan, lauded Governor Makinde for the road project, describing it as a critical intervention that would improve livelihoods and accelerate development in Itesiwaju Local Government Area.
