Oyo state Governor Engineer Oluseyi Makinde on Monday flagged off the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Saki- Ogbooro- Igboho road in Oke Ogun area of Oyo state
The road project which was approved in 2020 will cost N8.7bn and it is expected to be completed in 18 months.
Makinde who holds town hall meeting with traditional rulers from Oke Ogun 2 in Saki also commissioned Model School in Iseyin, OYSADA Headquarters in Saki and launches Youth Entrepreneurship in Agribusiness Project (YEAP)
While commissioning St Paul Secondary School, Okutapemo in Iseyin, one of the model schools constructed by the administration. Engineer Seyi Makinde said one of the solutions to poor funding of education is to reverse the trend of poor budgetary allocation to education.
He maintained that one of the things he has done differently is to spread the model schools across all the zones in the state to enable students have access quality education in our dear state.
“This is one of the 26 model schools completed by our admin under the FGN-UBEC/Oyo SUBEB intervention projects in the past year. We will continue to prioritise access to quality education in our dear state. He added.
