Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has felicitated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Ige Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I, on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
The governor described the monarch’s leadership as exemplary and timely, noting that it coincides with the state’s ongoing transformation under his administration.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Governor Makinde said:
“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Oyo State, I felicitate His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
“Kabiyesi, we celebrate your royal leadership, which is happening at a time that we are transforming Ibadanland and building a modern Oyo State. We pray that God continues to uphold and sustain you as you continue to lead your people.

The governor’s message underscored the significance of the monarch’s wisdom and traditional authority in complementing the state’s drive for development and peace.
