Makinde Appoints Barr. Lateef Onijo as The Oke Ogun Polytechnic Governing Council Chairman

Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has appointed Barr. Lateef Sarafadeen Abiola, as the chairman of the Governing Council of The Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki.

 

The appointment, according to a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun, takes effect from September 13, 2022.

A statement by the Special Assistant (Print Media) to the Governor, Moses Alao, quoted the letter as heartily congratulating Barr. Abiola, popularly known as Onijo, describing the appointment as a call to service.
The letter equally urged the new Governing Council chairman to discharge his duties with absolute loyalty, dedication and diligence.
Barr. Abiola attended the Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto and the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, where he obtained LL.B and Barrister of Law degrees respectively.

Called to the Nigerian Bar about 20 years ago, Barr. Abiola is the current chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association, Saki branch.
He was a House of Representatives aspirant for the Saki West/Saki East/ATISBO Federal Constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Meanwhile, The People’s Democratic Party Senatorial Candidate in Oyo North, Hon Akinwale Solomon Akinwole has congratulated Barrister Onijo on his appointment.

Akinwale who commended Governor Seyi Makinde for considering Bar. Onijo for the position described the lawyer as a competent legal luminary who is passionate about serving the people.

Barrister Onijo with PDP Senatorial Candidate Hon Akinwale Solomon Akinwole‘This is a new beginning and I hope he would use his influence to enhance development and advancement of the Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
