Makinde Appoints Adeniyi as Deputy Chief of Staff, Names New 3SC, OYOWMA Chairmen

Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has appointed Honourable Adeyinka Kazim Adeniyi, popularly known as Bibire, as the new Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) following the resignation of Honourable Fola Sunday Oyekunle.

Oyekunle stepped down after emerging as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the upcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election scheduled for August 16, 2025.

In a statement signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Governor Makinde also approved the dissolution of the board of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), with Honourable Taiwo Lekan Salami appointed as the new chairman.

Additionally, the governor named Honourable Kabiru Salami, a retired police officer, as Executive Assistant on Security Coordination. Honourable Waheed Adeniyi has also been appointed as the new chairman of the Oyo State Waste Management Authority (OYOWMA).

Governor Makinde congratulated the new appointees and urged them to view their appointments as a call to diligent and selfless service.

All appointments take immediate effect.
