Majekodunmi Restate Commitment to Service to Humanity

The Baagbile of Egbaland, Chief (Dr.) Femi Majekodunmi, has assured of his commitment to continue to serve humanity for the rest of his life, stating that there is no joy that is greater than this. 


He gave the commitment while been inaugurated as Oyo State President, The Boys’ Brigade, held at the Cathedral of St. James The Great, Oke Bola, Ibadan. 


He said the essence of the association is for members to use their time and resources to serve humanity,  stating that he cannot afford to do otherwise more so when he has served as Patron of the association in the state for many years.


He added that he accepted the position to further make himself to continue to serve humanity,  urging the well to do in the society to think more of serving the people rather than their family alone.

While lauding the leadership of the association for finding him worthy to be the Oyo State President, Majekodunmi who was accompanied by his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Deke Majekodunmi, said with over 120 batallions in the state, he is more than prepared to take the association to greater heights and would be the best in the country.


He however called for the support of every member as he cannot do it alone,  stating that with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State as the Grand Patron of the association in the state, he is sure that the association is in safe hands in the state.

The National President of the association, Sir. Sunday Nnamdi Nwosu, while speaking at the ceremony, called on the Anglican Church to continue to support the association, stating that it is the church that owns it and cannot afford to abandon it. 


He added that there should be training and re-training for members so as to keep them up to-date on their duties and responsibilities, noting that there is pride in being a member of The Boys’Brigade.
