Lucky Aiyedatiwa, deputy governor of Ondo, has been sworn in as the substantive governor of the state.
Aiyedatiwa was sworn in on Wednesday by the Chief Justice of the state, Jusice Olusegun Odusola at the government house, Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital, after the death of Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo.
Aiyedatiwa in his inaugural speech commiserated with the Akeredolu’s family over the demise of his former boss after which he accepted responsibility as the state Governor
