Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, has commiserated with the family of the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Governor Seyi Makinde, and the entire people of Ibadan over the passing of the revered monarch.
In a condolence message issued on Monday, Wolekanle described the late Oba Olakulehin as a quintessential monarch whose reign ushered in peace and progress across Ibadanland.
“Within the past one year, Baba demonstrated exemplary leadership, wisdom, and a deep commitment to the growth and unity of Ibadan. His reign, though short, left a lasting impact on the people and will be remembered for the peace and development it brought,” he said.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the monarch’s soul and urged the people of Ibadan to uphold the legacy of unity and progress championed by the late Olubadan.
Wolekanle also extended his condolences to the Olubadan-in-Council, traditional institution, and all sons and daughters of Ibadanland, noting that the monarch would be sorely missed.
