Hon.Segun Dokun Odebunmi, Chairman House of Representative Committee on Information, National Orientiation ,Ethics and Value has assured people at the grassroot that Electing susbantive executive into local governments and LCDA’s in Oyo state will enhance rapid development.
Odebunmi who is representing Surulere/Ogo Oluwa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly while speaking at the flag off of All Progressives Congress APC camapign for saturday Local government election in Suurulere Local government said, with the election ,people at the grassroot will have access to their elected council officials and enjoy dividends of democracy
The former Local Government chairman while lauding Ajimobi’s government for the creation of LCDA said ” Even though i was in the opposition when the LCDA’s were created but i did not oppose it becauae i knew it will make government more closer to the people and help in planning by the government.
He also commended Governor Ajimobi on improved road network, indrastructural development and strides achieved so far in Education Health and other sector. “Ajimobi has demonstrated exemplary leadership style and take Oyo state to a new level.
Hon.Odebunmi call on people to continue to support the rulling All Progressives Congress Party at all level and ignore the ranting of the opposition seems to be uncomfortable with the feat achieved by the APC government so far
He also advocate for Unity among members of APC in Ogbomoso zone saying ‘ We should unite and speak with one voice. I want to implore our leader Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala to champion process that will bring everybody together into one fold.’
” I am optimistic that very soon things will begin to manifest properly and positively and we shall all be a living witness and beneficiary of the Change, the APC promise Nigerians”
Odebunmi however urged the Candidates for Saturday’s election not to betray the confidence reposed in them by the electorates and ensure that they build on the foundation laid by Ajimobi as well as embarking on projects that will promote the credibility of the APC led government and the party image
