The Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Ogbomoso North Local Government, Alhaji Akanji Kabir Ayoade has promised not to betray the confidence reposed in him by the electorates if elected.
Ayoade Popularly known as KB disclosed this at the flag off of the campaign rallies at Abogunde and Alasa Wards on Wednesday.
He said the centre focus of his admnistration would be to restore hope by bringing dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots level.
“I christened the campaign ‘ Activating a New Era’ solely because its going to be a clear depature from what obtains in the past , just like it is at the state level, our predecessors tried their best but we are going to do better, we are not just going to make people enjoy true and good governance but ensure infrastructural development and provision of basic amenities.
“We will complement the efforts of the state Governor Engineer Oluseyi Makinde in making Oyo state a better state by initiating and implementing peoples oriented programm and ensure prompt responses to issues that are germain to the development and growth of our local government
Also, the vice chairmanship Candidate , Aremu Omotayo Yemi while addressing the crowd said ” We are ready to serve and we will serve you better , we cannot do it alone but with God and support of the people we are sure of making Ogbomoso North a place of pride.
A former secretary of Ogbomoso North local Governmt, Hon Akinwale Akinwole Popularly known as Wolekanle in his remark said Governor Seyi Makinde led admnistration has been able to establish his focus and vision to take Oyo state to a greater height through people’s oriented program and policies and i have no doubt that all our council chairmen will not deviate from the lane by compliment his efforts in ensuring people at the grassroot enjoys good governance
“Our candidates are competent and capable, all they need from us is support, let us support them and i am sure they will never let us down.
