The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH Ogbomoso is in mourning mood as one of its best scholar professor Abass Olajire slumped and died on Friday

The University’s spokesperson Mr Fadeyi while confirmed the incident said “He slumped at the Ansarul Deen Mosque, Stadium Road and Was confirmed dead at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital.

He added that he would be buried tomorrow in ibadan

Olajire a lecturer at the faculty of pure and applied sciences was said to have slumped and inside a mosque around Oke Ado and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead

Recalled that Olajire ranks 128th of 66,925 of the top world scientists done by Elsevier B. V (Netherlands) and a team of researchers led by Prof. John P.A. loannidis from Stanford University, United States

Olajire who joined Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in 1990 as an assistant lecturer is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University and University of Ibadan respectively.

Some of his colleagues and non academic staff expresesy sadness over the sudden departure be of one of the LAUTECH’s Pride.
