Leaving campus or the school environment is important now to search for a work or job and give yourself a balance. We can always retreat now and make a synergy after some times. Let’s go home and reconvey back in full force. Just exactly how we did last year, we can also repeat that later. Besides, ILEYA is around the corner, we can’t afford to miss it.

I ask, is there any one as frustrated as those in school ? I’ve seen scores coming to school on daily basis, praying fervently, strategizing and planing, and with lot of meeting upon meeting, but all these are not enough aside the stomach infrastructure. So, before we finally run out of cash or looking for a way to replace the warn-out tissue through ungodly act, I suggest we make the boldly step by going home now or haunting for job for survival.

Interestingly, some students are already showing frustration online, but until the frustration become true, they won’t have choice than to leave the comfort zone of their parents and return back to the street to demand for their national cake, Education. I believe the population then would be reasonable enough to confront any oppressors. Or how do we intend to let the oppressors know that we are frustrated without a large number of people ? We are over 34,000 students on campus but only to see 50-100 students coming out for demonstration. Are we truly frustrated ?

Pathetically, the parent forum who ought to hold the bull by the horn is either crawling or yet to realize how to fight for their children freedom, they keep holding meeting upon meeting without any result so far. As some of them would always clamor for demonstration, the forebodingly pathetic one would never cease to kick against it. Argh, what an hopelessness. I keep wondering why our parents are scared of going on street to protest unlike the union members who seems to be afraid or see it as aberration, however, very active with media war against the government. But what does the parent forum stand to lose by staging a peaceful demonstration ? I just hope this is not because of money or the governments’ voodoo.

Yes, national Asuu is on strike, and the LAUTECH chapter has no choice than to join except for tangible reason. But does the strike in any way makes any difference ? We’ve been on strike even before the so called national Asuu strike. So, there’s high possibility of the school seeking an express permit from the national body to bow out of the strike as soon as fund is injected. In view of this, I don’t expect ladokites to be giving themselves unnecessary headache because of the National strike. Our concern for now should be on how fund would be release to the school to offset salary and for sustainability.

Don’t forget that the financial audit report which the government has said to use to borrow loan is expected to be out on the 18th of this month and a governing council meeting will hold on either 21 or 22nd of this month. After then, an interim report will be submitted to the two visitors. So, why can’t we wait till then instead of giving ourselves unnecessary headache about the national strike. My prayer is just that the government won’t come up with another excuse after the audit report is out.

Be that as it may, Ladokites should also continue to pray on the special funds from the federal government. Although, one may not be too sure when exactly the money will drop, but with your prayer, anything is possible. It should be noted that the only thing that will make the Unions to call for any congress is money and MOU. So, let’s continue to pray for God intervention.

To this end, am urging you to go on fast and prayer. Let’s endeavor to tell any of our people in Mecca or Jerusalem to put LAUTECH in their prayer. With this, resumption is certain. More so, I also advise the students calling for their transcript to wake up from their slumber as no undergraduate would ever receive it except the graduate. On this note, I say kudos to those who have been making it possible for some graduates to collect their own.

Instead of dreaming of going to another school, why can’t you pray and fight for the revival and restoration of LAUTECH ? Even if you will have your transcript, you can only be admitted to 100 or 200 irrespective of your level. But now that first semester result is yet to be out, then what’s the probability of getting it ? And where is the succor when other universities are also faced with National strike ? As for me, I take solace in *God*
May LAUTECH rise again !
