Hon. Kingsley Kuku, PhD, has debunked rumours making the rounds on social media suggesting he is set to contest the 2027 Ondo South Senatorial Election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In an official statement issued on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, and signed by Eric Pere Yanyangbini, Esq., Kuku described the viral publication as “false, misleading, and unauthorized.”
The former presidential aide and prominent figure in the Niger Delta struggle reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that he has no plans to defect to any other political party.
“Hon. Kingsley Kuku remains a committed and loyal member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has no intention of leaving the PDP for any other platform,” the statement read.
It was also revealed that Kuku held a strategic meeting with PDP elders earlier in the day, where discussions focused on strengthening party structures ahead of upcoming political engagements.
He urged the public to disregard the posters and reports suggesting a move to the ADC, warning those behind the campaign of misinformation to desist immediately.
“For the record, if Hon. Kingsley Kuku decides to contest in 2027, it shall strictly be on the platform of the PDP,” the statement emphasized.
Kuku also vowed not to tolerate any further attempts to mislead the public or distract from his commitment to the party and the people of Ondo South.
