The federal commissioner with RAMFAC, Abuja Hon. Bimbo Kolade, yesterday 16th June visited the family of Late PA S.M Akindele to commiserate with the family.
While he was there he eulogised the contribution of the late politician to the progressive party in the state and south west in general which dated back to its days of chief Obafemi Awolowo.
He said he will personally missed the time he used to spend with the old man learning about the history of progressive politics in Nigeria and the activities of late politicians especially from Oyo area.
He prayed that God will continue to uphold the family. Kolade also visited the family of PA S.O Farinu a former state chairman of ACN and as well the family of PA Gidado, a leader of the APC from Oyo East local government area . He took time to visit PA Akin Ojebode to also commiserate with him on the loss of his contemporaries in politics
During the visit to PA Akin Ojebode it was noted that the second generation of the leaders of the progressive in the state are quickly diminishing, noting the death of PA Adelere of Iseyin also. PA Ojebode encouraged and challenged Kolade as one of the emerging leaders of the progressive in the state to uphold the core tenants of the progressives which are based on truth and commitment to development.
PA Ojebode told Kolade that he is one of the core progressive up coming leader that they are looking up to, to carry the banner of the true progressive politics in the state.
On the team from Afijio local government who visited the family are Hon. Seyi Adisa, a member of the Oyo state house of Assembly, PA. Adegbite,Afijio APC leader, Hon. Luqman Anwo, the APC party chairman from Afijio, Hon. Fola Owolabi, former state chairman of ADP and many others . All the APC party chairman from Oyo zone were also on ground to receive Hon. Bimbo Kolade and the team from Afijio local government.
