Yobe State Governor, Alh. Mai Mala Buni  has approved payment of N35,000.00 wage award to civil servants as palliative in order to cushion the effect of subsidy removal on Petroleum.

The Governor also set up a wage award committee for headed by the Secretary of the state Government Baba Malu Wali

Other members of the committe includes, Head of Service Vice Chairmam, Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Finance Member) State Chairman Labour (NLC) Member, State Chairman (TUC) Member, Permanent Secretary Establishment Secretary

The terms of reference of the Committee are to determine the financial implication of the implementation of the wage award and to megotiate with the labour unions on acceptable rate both to government and the labour Union
