Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for what he described as visionary leadership following the successful constitution of the Oyo State Traditional Council.
In a statement issued in Ibadan, Chief Sanusi described the inauguration of the council as a historic milestone aimed at strengthening traditional institutions and fostering unity among royal fathers across the state.
He particularly congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his appointment as Chairman of the Oyo State Traditional Council, noting that the choice was well-deserved and reflective of the monarch’s wisdom, experience, and dedication to peace and development.
According to him, the establishment of the council would further promote harmony, consultation, and collective leadership among traditional rulers in Oyo State.
“The constitution of the Oyo State Traditional Council is a landmark achievement that underscores Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to purposeful leadership and respect for our rich cultural heritage,” Chief Sanusi stated.
He also praised the Oyo State House of Assembly for passing the law that provided legal backing for the council, describing the legislative action as a demonstration of commitment to institutional growth and good governance.
Chief Sanusi expressed confidence that the Traditional Council, under the chairmanship of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, would serve as a strong platform for unity, stability, and socio-cultural advancement across the state.
He urged stakeholders, including traditional rulers and the general public, to give maximum support to the council to enable it effectively discharge its responsibilities for the benefit of the people of Oyo State.
