Residents of some rural communities including Biiro, Okiki, Irayin, Abewo, Idi-opele, Others are in a joyous mood as Rural Electrification Agency (REA) completed the electricity projects initiated by the immediate past reps member Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi.
Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi popularly known as Bunvic represented Ogo Oluwa/Surulere at the 7th,8th and 9th Assembly during which he facilitated several community development projects and empowered people
The electrification project in the aforementioned communities which commenced in 2017, 2018, and 2020 respectively, was brought to completion through collaboration with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
Hon. Odebunmi, former representative of the Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency and past Chairman of the House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values expressed his appreciation to the REA for their unwavering support in ensuring the project’s success.
He also thanked the residents of the communities for their patience and cooperation throughout the process.
“This is a significant milestone for these communities, as they have been without reliable electricity for many years. The installation of these transformers will greatly improve the quality of life by providing better access to power for homes, businesses, and essential services,” Hon. Odebunmi stated.
The electrification initiative is expected to stimulate economic growth in the region, offering consistent power supply to local businesses and enhancing living standards for residents.
Residents of the benefiting communities expressed their joy and appreciation, noting that the provision of electricity would have a transformative impact on their lives.
