The Director-General and Global Liaison for the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership, Mr Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, has expressed profound sadness over the demise of His Eminence, Fadilat Sheikh Muhydeen Ajani Bello, Oniwasi Agbaye.
The revered Islamic cleric, who was a towering spiritual figure in Ibadan, Oyo State, and across Yorubaland, passed away recently, leaving a legacy of faith, philanthropy, and devotion.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Tegbe described Sheikh Muhydeen Bello as a blessing to many, whose life of piety and impactful teachings touched countless lives. He commended the late cleric’s commitment to inspiring, educating, and uplifting the Muslim Ummah through his sermons and community service.
“Sheikh Muhydeen lived a fulfilled life, leaving an indelible mark on this generation. His exemplary lifestyle, inspiring preaching, and acts of charity will forever remain etched in the hearts of all who knew him,” Tegbe remarked.
On behalf of the Oguntegbe family and the descendants of Labo and its environs, Tegbe extended his deepest condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, the Grand Imam of Oyo State, and the entire Muslim community.
“May Almighty Allah bless his memory, grant him Aljanah Firdaus, and give his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Tegbe concluded.
The passing of Sheikh Muhydeen Bello has indeed created a vacuum in the religious community, with tributes pouring in from across Yorubaland and beyond, celebrating his lifelong contributions to humanity and the propagation of Islam.
