The new executive members of the Institute of Peace strategic Studies Students Association IPSSSA, University of Ibadan on Wednesday innaugurated newly elected executive members
The new executives are:Adebisi Michael (President), Akinbobola Obanijesu ( Vice President), Aderogba Oluwapemi (General Secretary, Oyatorisa Oluwadamilola Funmilayo (Financial Secretary), Fabiyi Praise Temitope (Treasurer), Fakolade Fortune Abisola (Public Relations Officer), Jegede Oluwafeyikemi (Director of Socials), Atura Siedoma (Director of Sports) and Jayeola Omodolapo (Director of Welfare).
During the inauguration which was held at Olabamiji hall, the course adviser, Dr Mrs Funmi Agbaje, Dr. Adekunle and the Faculty Officer, Barrister Osula in their speeches advised the newly elected executives to serve effectively.
After the oath taking, the new executives were presented certificates of return to office by Dr Adekunle.
Akanbi Jamaldeen Oluwasegun, the immediate past president while handling over the mantle of leadership to the new executives said the opportunity to serve the student body has further embolden and enhance his leadership ability and opportunity to put in place a lasting legacy
According to him ” We have done our best to enhance unity and progress among the students organise lectures on current issues, among others i believe our successor will continue to keep the ball rolling by ensuring effective, transparent and quality leadership during their tenure.
Also the new president, Michael Adebisi Popularly known as Micoota while speaking at the event thanks the students of the institute for electing them and promised not to betray the confidence reposed in them.
“We are poised to serve you better, we will continue to build on the legacies of our predecessors and ensure harmonious relationship with our lecturers and all the stakeholders.”
The former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Adeyemo Moses while giving the vote of thanks, appreciated the Lecturers, immediate past executives and the students for the development and urged the new executives to be upright ensure quality leadership
