The management of Ifeanyi Ubah of Nnewi has tendered public apology over the team’s abandonment of their game with Kano Pillars on Saturday.
In a press release signed by the Club’s Chairman Chukwuma Ubah, the team’s management apologized to their fans, the League Management Company and its Chairman, the NFF and its Chairman, the Governor of Kano State and other stakeholders.
While expressing regrets over the incident, the management of the Pride of Anambra claimed it was that the club’s Team Manager, Jonathan Igwe that instigated the players to abandon the game.
The Team Manager has subsequently been suspended and ordered to apologize publicly for his role in the unfortunate event.
