The donation followed a courtesy visit by the Osun State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Corps Commander Leye Adegboyega, fsi, to the Ooni of Ife on June 18, 2025, during which the need to equip the newly established Corridor 44 Command was discussed. The monarch welcomed the request and encouraged formal documentation of required items, leading to the mobilization of the Ife Intellectuals.
The Chief Donor, Bamofin Olusola Oyeyemi, contributed ₦4.5 million for the procurement of items, which include executive and conference tables, chairs, office desks, a file cabinet, printer, photocopier/scanner, ceiling fans, plastic chairs, a generator, internet router, and a desktop computer set.
The items were officially presented on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, by the Lowa Adimula of Ife, Oba Adekola Adeyeye JP, on behalf of the Ooni of Ife. Several traditional rulers, FRSC officers, and members of the Ife Intellectuals were in attendance.

Representing the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adekola Adeyeye commended the FRSC for its dedication and pledged continued palace support. He announced the donation of 5,000 blocks to aid the construction of a perimeter fence for the command.
The Chief Donor, Bamofin Oyeyemi, urged sons and daughters of Ile-Ife to support the FRSC and contribute to the development of the ancient city, noting that the establishment of the corridor command would enhance road safety and emergency response in the area.
