Ibadan Mogajis  Hails Police Commissioner

Family heads (Mogajis) in Ibadanland have lauded efforts of the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Williams towards security of lives and properties in the state particularly, Ibadanland, saying his efforts can not be overemphasized.

The Mogajis through their Apex Security body, Ibadan Compound Peace Initiatives (ICPI) said the Police boss have good attitude towards handling security situation in Ibadanland since his deployment as the Commissioners of Police in the state.

Speaking on their behalf while presenting letter of commendation to the Police boss, an event which was held at the Oyo State Police headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, the President, Association of Ibadan Mogajis, Chief Asimiyu Adepoju Ariori and Asiwaju Nurudeen Akinade, who is the ICPI Coordinator described Adebowale as a listening person who always act to all security issues whenever the needs arises.

“Oyo State and Ibadanland is known to be the political meeting point of southwest structure and the gateway to most political activities in Nigerians, we expect a wild volatile Political space.”

“The recently organised security summit held at Ibadan house, Oke-Aremo as well as your representation at the event was commendable, this is the first time such event will take place ahead of election.”

“We also thank you for the prosecution of destroyers of various campaign billboard of political parties, this will not only promote required peaceful coexistence but will also foster political stability expected at this period, we appreciate you and identify your good work and professionalism.”

The Mogajis however pledged their cooperation and support towards putting an end to various criminal activities in Ibadanland and it’s environs.

The Police Commissioner in his remark said though security of lives and properties of people in the state remained duty of the Police but people also need to played their role and contribute their quota so as to ensure adequate security in the state.

He thanks the Ibadan Compounds Peace Initiatives and the Mogajis for the letter of commendation and equally promise to ensure that the Peace been currently enjoy in Ibadanland and Oyo state is sustained, warning the hoodlums and trouble makers to steer clear State or face the music.
