Chairmen of the eleven Local Governments in Ibadanland, led by the Chairman of Oyo State ALGON, Hon. Sikiru Sanda Oyedele , on Friday paid a congratulatory visit to the Olubadan-designate, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja.
The delegation, which met with the monarch at his residence, said the visit was to pay homage and extend goodwill messages ahead of his coronation scheduled for September 26.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Hon. Sanda described the visit as both historic and symbolic, noting that the LG bosses had a fruitful engagement with the Olubadan-designate. He pledged the unwavering loyalty and total support of all Ibadan Local Government Chairmen to the Olubadan-in-Council, which he described as one of the finest traditional institutions in the world because of its unique and peaceful succession system.
“As Chairmen, we remain committed to supporting our revered monarch and to replicating Governor Seyi Makinde’s good governance mantra for the progress and development of Ibadanland,” Sanda said.
The Chairmen expressed optimism that Oba Ladoja’s reign would bring peace, unity, and unprecedented development to Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.
They also prayed for a long life and prosperous reign for the Olubadan-designate as the entire Ibadan community looks forward to his coronation.
