The Modest efforts Ibadan Compounds Security and Peace Initiatives Forum which comprises of Ibadan Mogajis, Traditional Chiefs , Senior and High Chiefs including some important Elders of Ibadanland is yielding a positive results as they prevent another attack on some communities by notoriuos criminals in Ibadan
The Forum cordinator Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade of Onilari OopoYeosa disclosed that “Today 16/10/2021 we received a security reports that some group of notorious boys were planning to attack and wreck havock around Alafara Olubadan – Ojagbo – Koloko area.
According to the report from a reliable source, these boys were planning a Reprisal attack , they have instructed all Landlords in the area to contribute a sum of N1000 per each house to prevent attacking and burning down their houses on Saturday evening.
“Immediately the information filtered through Chief Abolade Salami of Fresh FM, Mogaji Oladosu Ademola Olasomi was contacted while the information were equally passed to The President of Association of Mogajis in Ibadanland, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori.
“The prompt response of Oluode of Ibadanland and the head of our local Volunteers Security outfits, Oloye Kehinde Ege, Mogaji Adekunle Oloolu and their teams lead to the arrest of twenty (20) of these notorious boys and they have since been handed over to the Agugu divisional Police command.
Vintage Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori, highly responsive Mogaji Asa and effective and responsible Mogaji Oloolu ensure an aggressive follow up with DPO of Agugu Divisional Police Command with a clear instructions that those boys must not be released for any reason. The DPO equally promised their immediate transfer to Iyaganku Area Command.
Oluode and Mogaji Oloolu along with the DPO has equally promise to ensure adequate Security around the area, while further and continuous arrest will be made between Saturday evening and sunday morning
