The okanlomo of Ogbomosoland, Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi has condoled with the people of Ogbomosoland on the demise of Oba Jimoh Oladuni Oyewumi, (the Soun of Ogbomoso) Ajagungbade 111
Odebunmi, a federal lawmaker representing Ogo-Oluwa/ Surulere Federal constituency in a statement personally signed said ‘I am saddened that my father, mentor and role model has joined his ancestors.
The All Progressives Congress APC Chieftain who is also the Chairman House Committee on Information, National Orientation Ethics and Values maintained that ” The news of his passage was received as a rude shock, I wasn’t expecting this at this time at all, He was everything to me and he will be remembered for his encouragement, love and passion for the growth of the younger generations , Ogbomoso and Yorubaland at large .
“As a king, he led by examples by investing heavily in his domain for economic growth and he used all his influence to facilitate a a lot of developmental projects for Ogbomosoland.
” As mortal, death is a neccessary end for us all and i pray that Almighty God grant him aljanah Fridaus and grant his immediate, extended family, ogbomoso and the entire Yoruba race the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss
