The Executive Chairman of Òyó East Local Government, Hon. Oluokun Peter Olusola, has commended the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of the people, particularly through massive road infrastructure interventions across the state.
Hon. Oluokun gave this commendation today during an on-site inspection of several ongoing road projects within Òyó East Local Government. The projects inspected include the reconstruction of Mobolaje/Olugbon Road, the construction of Oba Adeyemi Road, and the construction of Kosobo Road.
Speaking during the inspection, the Chairman expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, noting that the projects will significantly improve connectivity, ease transportation, and boost economic activities within the affected communities.
He lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his timely intervention in fixing critical internal roads across all zones of Oyo State, describing the gesture as a clear demonstration of people-oriented governance.
According to Hon. Oluokun, the Governor’s infrastructural drive has continued to bring relief to residents and traders, while also enhancing safety and accessibility within urban and rural areas. He assured the people of Òyó East that more developmental projects are still underway, in line with the administration’s commitment to sustainable grassroots development.
The Chairman also commended the project contractor for the professionalism displayed on site, particularly the use of quality materials and adherence to standard construction practices. He urged the contractor to sustain the high level of workmanship to ensure durable and long-lasting roads for the benefit of the people.
Hon. Oluokun reaffirmed the readiness of the Òyó East Local Government to continue partnering with the Oyo State Government in delivering impactful projects that will improve the living standards of residents across the local government area.
