A former member of the Federal House of Representative Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi on Thursday flagg off distribution of Federal Government Rice Palliatives to residents of Ogo Oluwa Surulere federal constituency.
Apart from individual, other beneficiaries includes, members of Nigerian Union of Teachers, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN),Pensioners, NULGE members Okada riders Security Operatives, widows and others .
About 1000 bags of 25kg rice were distributed.
The former lawmaker who represented Ogo Oluwa Surulere Federal constituency three consecutive time while addressing the beneficiaries in Iresaadu , Surulere local government said “this is the first phase and according to him the distribution continues tomorrow and Saturday”
The Okanlomo of Ogbomosoland who is also a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congres APC expressed optimistic that the policies of Federal government will soon be yielding positive development.
According to him “Obviously things are hard but i am hopeful that there will be light at the end of the tunnel, and Nigerians will enjoy President Tinubu’s administration, he meant well and please let us be patient, the present situation will soon be over.”
The former Chairman House committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Value maintained that the government have rolled out series of palliatives to alleviate the suffering of the masses and we will ensure our people are not left out in benefiting from whatever is released by the federal government.

In their separate remarks a member of the state Oloye Sunday Adewale Assistant Auditor APC in Oyo state and Honourable David Oladimeji Orolade Former chairman Surulere local government commended Hon Odebunmi for his magnanimity and commitment to the welfare of the people of ogo Oluwa Surulere federal constituency.
Some of the beneficiaries including Dr Ogunsola Ademolu representative of the Nigerian Union of Teachers said the palliatives is a relieve and will help them to use the money meant for the commodity being given to buy solve another problems.
