Odebunmi Advocates more funding for Nigerian Press Council and other Agencies under the Ministry of Information.

Hon. Segun Dokun Odebunmi Chairman House of Reps Committee on Information National Orientation, Ethics and Values has said poor budgetary allocation is limiting the activities of Nigerian Press Council

Hon Odebunmi said this while hosting the Executive secretary Mr Francis N.Nwosu and the Management of the agency at his office on Wednesday

The All Progressives APC lawmaker representing Ogo- Oluwa Surulere Federal Constituency congratulates the new Executive secretary and also assured the agency of hope siting the NFVCB progression story.

He noted that as the NPC ACT Amendment bill is under legislative process, there is need for the Executive-legislative collaboration in other to move the agency forward and also a need for an open door policy which is required for working together in the interest of country

The Executive Secretary of NPC said part of the challenges being faced by the institution includes incessant litigations, no permanent accommodation, Poor funding, infrastructural Deficit among others

He however request for Patronage on handling of projects within their mandate and proper funding by the government.
