The Federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abuja, Hon Adedapo Lam Adesina a.k.a Omo Oloore on Friday disburses millions of Naira as relief fund to about 350 men and women in his constituency
The beneficiaries whom were selected from all the 24 wards of the Federal Constituency across the two local governments ranging from market men/women traders, artisans, youth organizations,landlords and tenants association, community development council and other interest groups.
The Omo Oloore Traders support scheme which is another programme initiated by Hon Dapo Lam Adesina is targeted at petty traders in Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency to bring dividends of democracy and good governance to the doorsteps of his people and also boost small scale businesses in the constituency.
The young lawmaker while speaking said he is resolute to bringing smiles to the faces of his people and reduce idleness, unemployment, hunger and poverty by assisting people with financial support to boost their businesses in this critical time of economic recession.
He appealed to the beneficiaries to make the best use of this privilege while he also used the opportunity to assure his constituents of his continuous support in providing necessary assistance to alleviate poverty in the constituency.
A training session organized for all the beneficiaries of the scheme handled by a professional business management consultant was described as the rudiment for any business to succeed, as they were taught practicable approaches to self-reliance, financial discipline, starting small scale business and other related topics.
Speaking at the event, the representatives of the beneficiaries praised the outstanding qualities and commendable achievements of the young lawmaker in less than two years in office, charging other public office holders to emulate his commendable service to humanity.
The Omo Oloore business support scheme which started in 2016,has over 600 beneficiaries so far.
