Hon. Adedapo Lam Adesina Petitions IGP Over Alleged Threat to Life

The Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Hon. Adedapo Lam Adesina has petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris over threat to his life and property by hoodlums allegedly sponsored by the Oyo State government.

Hon. Lam Adesina, stated this as a fall out of Pre-ward Congress Stakeholders meeting held on Saturday, May 5th, 2-018 at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Party Secretariat, Oke Ado, Ibadan.

 

Omo Oloore disclosed that the meeting which had the Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shitu, Senator Monsurat Sumonu and some federal and state honourables in attendance was disrupted by hoodlums, who stormed the venue with dangerous weapons and caused mayhem that led to the party office being vandalized and many people sustained serious degree of injuries and some vehicles damaged.

The son of the former governor further noted that Governor Abiola Ajimobi with his security aides also charged at him with the governor pushing him when the meeting was reconvened by the Congress Committee that came from Abuja.

 

Hon. Lam Adesina maintained that he and some of his colleagues were able to escape the onslaught as a result of the intervention by members of the security operatives on ground.

He went further to state that there is plan by the power that be in the state to implicate him in an offence he didn’t commit or know about.

Hon. Lam Adesina decried the level of impunity being perpetrated in the state chapter of the party, and therefore, warned that if anything untoward happens to his life and property it is government that should be held responsible.

 

Omo Oloore, while calling on the Inspector General, Ibrahim idris to as a matter of urgency wade into the situation by ensuring that the devilish mission of those hoodlums and their sponsors over his life does not materialize, appealed to him to ensure that the act of lawlessness and violence does not prevail in the society.

 

Hon. Lam Adesina maintained that he will continue to fight for the course of the APC in the state by ensuring that internal democracy is entrenched.
