The apex social cultural organisation of all Ibadan indigenes, the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) has said the late Ibadan born billionaire, Harry Akande will be remembered for attracting sizeable number of foreign direct investments to Ibadanland, Oyo state as a whole and Nigeria in general.
The group said Akande would be remembered as one Ibadan man that had class, taste, style and enjoyed his wealth to the fullest.
CCII made the remarks in a condolence message issued by the President General, Chief Yemi Soladoye.
Soladoye said “My condolences are hereby extended to the members of Chief Harry Akande’s family both home and abroad and all Ibadan indigenes on the death of yet another great and illustrious son of Ibadanland.
“Chief Harry Akande was an international business Mogul, a flamboyant billionaire, a dogged business strategist and above all a great loved of Ibadanland.
“He was responsible for attracting sizeable number of foreign direct investments to Ibadanland and Nigeria and also rose in politics to the level of contesting for the position of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“He built many relationships across local and international bridges. He would be remembered as one Ibadan man that had class, taste and style and enjoyed his wealth to the fullest. May his soul rest in perfect peace
