A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Waheed Akintayo Ilumoka, has eulogized Governor Seyi Makinde as the governor clocks 58 years, describing him as a visionary leader whose administration has continued to deliver people-oriented governance in Oyo State.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, Akintayo, who represents Oluyole State Constituency and chairs the House Committee on Media, ICT and Public Affairs, praised the governor’s commitment to infrastructural development, workers’ welfare, and inclusive governance.
The lawmaker noted that Governor Makinde’s leadership style, anchored on accountability, transparency, and prudence, has repositioned Oyo State as a model of progressive governance in the country.
According to him, the governor’s investments in education, health, security, and road infrastructure have positively impacted the lives of residents across urban and rural communities, while his unwavering support for the legislative arm has strengthened democratic institutions in the state.
Akintayo further commended Governor Makinde for promoting peace and stability, as well as fostering unity among diverse political, religious, and traditional stakeholders.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, and good health for the governor, expressing confidence that the remaining years of his administration would witness greater achievements and sustained development for the benefit of the people of Oyo State.
