Gunmen Kidnap School Children, Bus Driver In Ekiti

Unspecified numbers of pupils of one of the private schools in Emure Ekiti have been allegedly kidnapped.

The pupils of Apostolic Faith Nursery and Primary School were said to have been kidnapped on Monday around five O’clock in the evening when the school Bus conveying them was returning to Eporo Ekiti, a town after Emure Ekiti.

Management of the school confirmed the abduction in a statement.

According to the statement, some pupils, the school Bus driver and an helper were kidnapped by gunmen.

The management therefore called for prayers to ensure timely release of the victims.

However, the spokesperson for the Ekiti State Police command, Mr Sunday Abutu could not be be reached to confirm the abduction.
