A 70-year-old Mr Ganiyu, working with a private company on Ogbomoso-Ilorin expressway, was on Monday abducted by gunmen in Orile Igbon, Surulere local government area of Oyo State,
The septuagenarian, who is also a farmer, was abducted from his home around 9:30pm at Agric Area, Ojutaye and taken to an unknown destination.
The kidnappers were said to have demanded a ransom of N10 million before the victim would regain his freedom.
It was gathered that, police operatives, in collaboration with Amotekun Corps and local vigilantes, reportedly stormed the surrounding bush and started combing it to rescue the kidnap victim
