Guinness World Record has approved the application by Prince Tope Adebayo, popularly know as Chef Tope maggie for longest coocking marathon
The approval was contained in a mail sent to chef Tope on Monday 12th June 2023.
The Ogbomoso born chef recently unfold his plans to undertake a 140-hour cook-a-thon and display his application details on the social media
Hilda Baci in may attempt the coocking challenge with 100 hours and another chef in Ekiti , Damilola Adeparusi is currently on with 120houre coocking challenge.
According to the chef, the mail contain a link to the guidelines and rules which he need to strictly adhere to if he want his attempt to be recognized ans certificated.
Speaking with Journalist in Ibadan. Chef Tope said he submitted the application in May and he has been exchanging correspondence with the organization till they finally approved the application for the cooking challenge.
He added that ” I did not take up the challenge to compete with anyone, I am only trying to show the world how creative, strong, and hardworking we Nigerians are. .
“The certificate from the GWR is not for myself alone but for my country Nigeria in which I pledge to be faithful, loyal and honest to and by the Grace of God I will bring the certificate to Oyo state, Nigeria.
He said the date and venue will be made public soon.
